Mini Bookshelf Tutorial

Recently, I shared a tutorial on my blog showing how to make mini books, and I had so many people tell me how much they enjoyed it. Because of that, I thought it would be fun to put together a tutorial for our Mini Bookshelves as well!

Our Mini Bookshelf Bar has been a huge hit at in-person markets and events. The other day, I added the full Original Mini Bookshelf Bar to our new website, and it felt like the perfect time to show how it works and how you can build your own online.

On our website, you can fully customize your bookshelf and browse all of the adorable accessories to decorate it. The site will walk you through each step of building your mini bookshelf so it’s easy and fun to put together.

Step One: Choose Your Bookshelf
Start by selecting your bookshelf. We have a few different styles to choose from and a wide range of colors. One of my favorites is the version that looks like a tiny library cart!

Step Two: Pick Your Accessories
This is my favorite part. Most people usually pick about 3–5 accessories, but you can add as many as you’d like. We have all kinds of options—different animals, cute flowers, potions, and even a grim reaper inspired by the Suriel from ACOTAR. Right now we’re also running a sale on the website: if you buy 4 accessories, you get $2 off.

Step Three: Make Your Mini Books (or Other Mini Media!)
Next comes filling your shelves! In our shop we offer three different sizes of miniature books, and we also have mini vinyl records. This gives you a lot of flexibility so you can really make your bookshelf feel unique to you.

If you purchase our mini book blanks, you’ll also get access to our template for free on the website. The template is very user-friendly and works with a simple drag-and-drop format in Canva.

Because the Original Mini Bookshelf Bar has been so popular at markets, we’ve also started offering packages for parties and events, even if you’re out of state. If you’d like to bring the Mini Bookshelf Bar to your event, we can sometimes attend in person. Or, guests can order ahead and we’ll send everything you need so you can host your own bookshelf-building experience.
