Essential Tools and Accessories I Use for My 3D Printing Business
Running a 3D printing business isn’t just about great designs — it’s about having reliable tools and materials that produce consistent, high-quality results. Over time, I’ve refined my setup to minimize print failures and keep production running smoothly.
My Printers and Filament
I print primarily on my Bambu printers, including my Bambu A1 machines. They’re fast, efficient, and dependable for both decorative and functional pieces. Currently I have 4 A1 combo printers and one P1S.
For most of my projects, I use PLA. My go-to brands are Elegoo Matte PLA and Deeplee Matte PLA. I love matte finishes because they give prints a soft, modern look that works beautifully for home decor and accessories. There are also some really nice marble variations available that add subtle texture and dimension without needing any post-processing.
Build Plates and Print Surfaces
I use smooth build plates on my printers for some of my designs because they provide reliable adhesion during printing and clean release once the print is finished. The smooth surface is helpful when designing a product that should look symmetrical.
Enclosures for Cooler Months
During the colder months, I often use the printer enclosure I have linked in my storefront. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and pops up like a tent. I’ve noticed that my Bambu A1 printers can struggle a bit in colder temperatures, and the enclosure helps maintain a more stable environment around the machine. That added temperature consistency improves layer adhesion and reduces the risk of warping or print issues.
Filament Care
Moisture can have a big impact on print quality, so I use a filament dryer to keep my PLA in optimal condition. Dry filament produces smoother extrusion, cleaner layers, and stronger finished parts. It’s a simple step that prevents a lot of common printing problems.
Other Helpful Accessories
In addition to filament, build plates, and enclosures, I keep a range of tools and accessories on hand for maintenance and post-processing. Having the right setup makes day-to-day production more efficient and keeps everything running reliably.
If you’re curious about the exact products I use — including my preferred matte PLA, marble filaments, smooth build plates, pop-up enclosure, filament dryer, and other essentials — I’ve linked them all in my Amazon storefront. These are the tools I personally use in my business and trust in my workflow every day.
